Being the employee of a cloud-based company means being quite aware of the cloud-based that are inherent in the business cloud world.  Specifically, the percentage of security threats that come through the email is always in the back of my mind.  It’s stressful to try to ensure I’m not accidentally opening my company up to threats.  Luckily, since we have Zscaler’s email and web filtering systems, that concern can remain a muted buzz in the back of my mind, freeing me up to focus on my work.

Zscaler’s email filtering automatically blocks any emails that look suspicious, so they never even hit my inbox.  Neutralizing the threat before it has a chance to get in front of me means that no matter how frazzled and distracted I may be, I never accidently click a link or open an attachment that can cause harm to my computer or my company.  For busy employees (like myself!), removing the potential to make a mistake is a huge weight off my shoulders.

And even if the email filtering fails me, Zscaler’s web filtering is another level of protection for me.  If a threat is disguised well enough to get through both the email filter and my own personal nonsense filter, the web filtering can help provide a last-ditch protection effort.  If a link brings me to a website that can be potentially dangerous for my company, Zscaler will block my access to that site and keep me from making a costly blunder.  It’s just one more assurance that I can rest assured that things are on the up-and-up, no matter how busy or distracted I may be on a given day.
